Our mission is to connect our Elder clients with outstanding companions who can improve their quality of life through social engagement, meaningful activities, and help with daily tasks that get more difficult with age. Our unique emphasis on matchmaking has fostered connections that last for years.**This job does not require "hands-on" care such as dressing or bathing assistance.Typical Activities and Responsibilities:- Providing companionship to older adults and individuals with chronic conditions; this may include discussing current events or shared interests, or taking trips to cultural or entertainment venues- Assisting with non-physical tasks such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, and light housework like folding laundry or throwing away leftover food items.- Safety supervision, standby assistance with ambulation or certain other tasks, medication reminders, adherence to care plans- For clients with dementia, you’ll need to communicate effectively, provide mental stimulation, and/or safety supervision as necessary. We advocate for our caregivers, as well as our clients. We offer training and ongoing support from a qualified team specializing in elder and memory care.
